Zeroboard CEO Tokeiji to speak at “Rock Thailand #4,” an event hosted by the Embassy of Japan in Thailand and co-sponsored by a Thai conglomerate

～Building an ecosystem in ASEAN region for decarbonization with Thai conglomerates～
CEO Michiktaka Tokeiji of Zeroboard, Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, “the Company”), a developer and provider of zeroboard , a cloud service to calculate and visualize GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions, spoke at Rock Thailand #4 (held in Bangkok), an event hosted by the Embassy of Japan in Thailand and JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), co-hosted by CP Group, a Thai conglomerate, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
Rock Thailand #4 is an event under the theme of BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) Economy, presented by Thailand who held the presidency at APEC 2022 – “Open. Connect. Balance.” Through this event, it realizes the strategy of Japanese government, the development of co-creation projects between Japan and Thailand based on Japan’s future investment initiatives (1) for Asia, and the promotion of the Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) concept (2), a framework for international cooperation under the GX.
The event started with a speech by Yasunori Nishimura, Minister of METI, followed by speeches by Japanese startups and matchmaking with Thai conglomerates and other companies. The Company was selected as one of the Japanese startup speakers, and our CEO Tokeiji gave a presentation on our strategy to support decarbonization in ASEAN region. The event was a great success, since we had a lot of takeaways while exchanging views with many Thai conglomerates on future collaboration plans. Having this event as a start, we want to continue building the relationship and hope to develop co-creation projects between Japan and Thailand in the decarbonization field.

ASEAN Decarbonization Zeroboard drives forward
In August 2022, the Company announced our plan to enter the Asian market together with Nagase & Co., Ltd., MUFG Bank, Ltd., Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Sumitomo Corporation. As the first step, we have started supporting decarbonization management in Thailand using zeroboard.
The Company will contribute to the decarbonization of the ASEAN region by establishing local subsidiaries and acquiring business partners, including non-Japanese companies, to provide a one-stop service from visualization to reduction of GHG emissions in the supply chain, in order to support decarbonization management in the ASEAN region.
Functions and Features of GHG Emissions Calculation and Visualization Cloud Service zeroboard
A cloud service for calculating and visualizing the GHG emissions from corporate activities and originating from the supply chain, based on the GHG Protocol*1 international standards.
・Calculations of GHG emissions by product or service, and of supply chain emissions (Scope 1 to 3)*2, which require vast amounts of data processing
・With a highly legible dashboard, GHG emissions reduction management and cost-performance simulation functions
・In addition to international disclosure formats such as for the GHG Protocol, output is also available in report formats for Japanese environmental laws
・User-friendly controls requiring no specialized knowledge
・Validity confirmed by international review and certification organization (verification based on ISO14064-3*3)
*1: International standards for calculating and reporting GHG emissions
*2: Categories for the scope of calculating and reporting GHG emissions for business operators
(Scope 1: Direct GHG emissions from the company’s business activities, Scope 2: Indirect GHG emissions from using electricity, heat, or steam provided by another company, Scope 3: Other supply chain GHG emissions related to business activities not covered by the first two)
